CDAS Annual General Meeting 2009 Minutes

The CDAS Annual General Meeting 2009 was held on 7pm, 15th August 2009 at Aranda Counrty Club Resort.

The Treasurer, Mr Yong Chee Foon started the AGM with his report of the CDAS accounts.

The Chairman, Mr Nelson Kwei then continued with his report of the events organised by CDAS in 2007/2008.

CDAS organised a total of 2 events in 2008 and early 2009.

1) Choral Directors’ Retreat

CDAS organised our first Conductors’ Retreat Johor Bahru, Malaysia on 26th/27th December. Participating members got to mingle with other conductors as well as participate in a series of activities aimed to help our members in their work.

2) CDAS Chinese New Year Gathering

CDAS organised a CNY gathering at Angila Tan’s house. Members gathered to have dinner and mingled with each other during the gathering.

The Secretary, Mr Foong Hak Luen then continued with the update of the CDAS website.

The response to the website has been positive. Some schools have contacted CDAS after viewing the members profile in the website. Members are encouraged to send in their updated pictures & write-up to the Secretary at info@cdas.org.sg

Members in attendance then voted for the Executive Committee for 2009/2010.

Membership Matters

The committee would like to take this chance to remind our members to process payment for membership renewal as soon as possible.

* All membership paid between 1st July 2007 and 30th June 2009 will only expire on 30th June  2010.
Renewal of membership is $96. Cheques should be addressed to “Choral Directors’ Association (Singapore)”.
