Mrs Kwek-Puah Hwee Khee, Conductor, voice and piano teacher, studied voice under the renowned soprano Stella Zhou Ming Lun. She was awarded a distinction for Voice from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and a Grade 8 Piano and Theory. Fully committed to molding and training young artists under her charge, she has nurtured many school choirs over the last seven years. She is currently a committee member at the Choral Directors’ Association of Singapore (CDAS).

During the recent Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging 2008, Mrs Kwek led Gan Eng Seng Primary Choir to clinch the Gold (with Honors) award. Three of her other choirs namely Nanyang Primary School Choir, River Valley Primary School Choir and Shuqun Primary School Choir also obtained Gold awards.

Mrs Kwek also participated actively in international competitions. At the recent Orientale Concertus International Choral Festival held in Suzhou in July 2008, she conducted Chai Chee Secondary Choir to obtain the Gold Award in the Youth Equal Voices category.

At the 21st Century International Choral and Dance Festival 2007, Gan Eng Seng Primary Choir and Chai Chee Secondary Choir both obtained the Gold awards. Gan Eng Seng Primary Choir was also awarded the Most Promising Choir award for the competition held at Genting, Malaysia.
