Categories


Fellows 

  • Fellows shall be conferred through nomination and approval by the Council.

  • Fellows must be nominated by 3 Professional members. Significance is determined by the Council.

  • Fellows shall be entitled to use the designatory term “FCDAS”.

  • Fellows shall have the right to vote at all general meetings and shall be eligible to stand for election into the Council.

  • Fellows must have significant/recognized contributions to the career development field.

Professional Members

  • The professional membership is granted through application to and approval by the Council

  • Professional Members shall have the right to vote at all general meetings and shall be eligible to stand for election into the Council.

  • A Professional Members shall have fulfilled all the following requirements:

  • Obtained a minimum certificate or diploma from an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) approved by the Council.  Eligibility of any other academic qualifications shall be considered on a case by case basis by the Council.

  • Attained at least one recognised career certification or training.  Recognition of certificates shall be determined by the Council.

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in a career development related field.

  • Professional Members shall be entitled to use the designatory term “PCDAS”.

Associate Members

  • The associate membership is open to any person with a keen interest in career development or career practice.

  • The associate membership is granted through application to and approval by the Council

  • Associate Members shall not have the right to vote at all general meetings and shall not be eligible to stand for election into the Council.  They, however, shall be allowed to attend general meetings but shall not be allowed to speak at those meetings.

  • Associate Members shall be entitled to use the designatory term: “ACDAS”.

 

Student Members 

  • The student membership is granted through application to and approval by the Council

  • students must produce a valid student card or documentary evidence during application for membership.

  • Student Members shall not have the right to vote at Association meetings and shall not be eligible to stand for election into the Council.  They, however, shall be allowed to attend general meetings but shall not be allowed to speak at those meetings.

 

Corporate Members

  • The corporate membership is open to legally registered entities/companies in Singapore with keen
    interest in career development or services.  

  • The corporate membership is granted through application to and approval by the Council•    

  • Overseas incorporated entities/companies shall be admitted as a Corporate Member at the discretion of the Council.

  • Representatives of Corporate Members shall be limited to not more than 2 as approved by the Council. The Council shall have the right to amend the number of representatives from time to time as it considers appropriate. Corporate Members shall not be allowed to vote at Association meetings and shall not be allowed to stand for election into the Council.

 

Note:

  • Overseas members are welcome to join any of the 5 membership categories.  They shall not have voting rights at general meetings of the Association and rights to stand for election into the Council.

  • Non-Singapore Citizens who have obtained a valid employment pass or Permanent Resident status in Singapore are welcome to join any of the 5 membership categories.  In the event the workpass or Permanent Residency status expires or is revoked by the government, the said membership will be deemed as lapsed.
